November Light

Looking through my kitchen window this morning, I saw Father Sun trying to peek through the branches of these bare-looking trees. The morning light is soft as it filters through the trees.
It's quality is different now. There is no hurry. No rush. The Earth is preparing to rest.

I find this softness comforting.
An hour or so later, I went for a walk.
And found the moon languishing in the western sky.

How pretty she looks, soft and feminine. Not clear and bright, or luminous and powerful. Just there, as if dancing in the treetops.
The Wheel is Turning.
November is a gentle month.

What awesome photographs, Wendy.
And the words you wrote to accompany them...wonderfully written. I love to click on photos such as yours and enjoy every detail. The sun peeking through the first one is beautiful...and the second one...so quiet...beautiful.

You really have a lot of talent in photography. If I could only do half as good, but alas, not a one of my better talents.

As earth gets ready to slumber, the sun tries to catch the moon, caressing her with his warmth and light. She is coy but lingers just a bit, teasing him into the morning sky. She slips away, her soft glow but a memory, until they meet again, when she in turn chases him.... Beautiful post.. Love and Light, Nina P

Dear Wendy,
"November is a gentle month"...
I love that. It does seem as if slowly my gardens are shutting down.
Our Indian Summer has passed.
I am preparing for solstice.
Namaste,
Sherry
